Recently finished teaching classes in advanced cinematography and lighting at local film schools. The workshops were two-weeks long each and staged at both Capilano University and the BC Institute of Technology.

The Light of Family Burnam wins Best Cinematography Award in Vancouver Short Film Festival.

Two short films that I shot are nominated for cinematography in this year’s Leo Awards. Shi-Shi-Etko and The Light of Family Burnam were shot respectively on 35mm anamorphic and RED digital.

Crimes of Fashion mini series wrapped. Shooting with Panavision Genesis cameras with Jerry Cicorriti directing. It’s sort of a Sex in the City with MURDER. Look for it on Lifetime channel late June.

Shooting completed on the TV movie CARNY in Ottawa and Camp Fortune, Quebec. Minus 14 degrees celsius but a fun time was had by all.

Blood Ties is nominated for a Leo Award in cinematography.
I’ve been shooting some short films with the new RED camera. The images are astounding- There’s little doubt now that we’re heading for a new revolution in cinema.

Official nomination for Best Cinematography comes in from Gemini Awards for Dragon Boys.
Work continues on second unit of the feature film Passchendaele, shooting in Calgary. My lifelong interest in the First World War makes this project especially exciting.

Action Unit starts shooting on Far Cry. We’re shooting complicated car chases, boat chases and stunts around Vancouver.
Dragon Boys is nominated for a Leo Award.

Blood Ties is premiered on Lifetime Channel in the U.S.
